Schwaigeralm in Kreuth

We wanted to fill up two drinking bottles (0.5l) with water. To charge 6.60 euros for this and still be grossly unfriendly is an unrivaled cheek. You should avoid the shop, there are enough friendly inns in the region.

Very nice place, unfortunately the food wasn't quite that good. Out of 5 people only one was really happy with the food. But nice excursion restaurant

We have been there several times and there is no better Bavarian food anywhere than in the Schweigeralm. The waitresses are incredibly nice and accommodating. It is very idyllic and you can only recommend it. We fell in love and will definitely come back!

We stayed at the Schwaigeralm for 5 days in September and it was a wonderful holiday. The rooms on the Alm are absolutely great, as is the wonderful breakfast and the very, very delicious food from the menu. The beer garden is a popular destination for hikers and has always been well attended, which is certainly also due to the good service and the always friendly hosts. All in all, the Schwaigeralm is highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

A great located Alm, which is definitely worth a visit. A pleasant footpath leads from the hiking car park to the building, passing a small waterfall. Both inside and outside it is very nice to sit, there is a playground outside for the little guests and a playroom inside. The food offered is of high quality and very tasty.

Reception was not particularly friendly, although one was friendly waiting to be assigned. Service was very inattentive and everything took forever. We waited patiently without allowing anything to be recognized. Food was wonderfully good.

Beautifully located. It's nice to sit inside as well as outside. The food was excellent on all visits. The service is warm. A special highlight for my children - the playground in front of the house and the playroom.

Augustiner on tap and good food - it couldn't be better! We were completely satisfied and can absolutely recommend the Schwaigeralm!

Very unfriendly service: "An alcohol-free, please" was followed by a sloppy "What ?!" instead of "Helles or Weissbier?" and opening the umbrella was too much work, but the waiting times until drinks and then food were really annoying. In addition, tarte flambée and cheese spaetzle took 55 minutes after ordering. Then the tarte flambée arrived completely burned. There was no compensation and a new meal would have taken us too long. And now for Corona times: On arrival we used the last slip of paper and other guests were told that there was no time to print new ones - for about 2 hours of our stay. Tables are not washed and masks are not taken care of. The Augustiner, however, was cool and good. Overall not a nice break on vacation, mainly due to the unfriendly staff.

For the first time there, certainly not the last time! The overall impression fits. Friendly & professional service, drinks and food really good. The grill plate & the pork / beer sausages on sauerkraut, very tasty prepared. There someone cooks from the specialist who gets a great taste in the food and lets the eye eat with it.

The four of us cycled and enjoyed a very good Kaiserschmarren. Very nice and attentive service

Absolutely terrible. Apparently you cannot get service unless you are German at least with two of the ladies. Never mind we were hiking for hours had heatstroke and were willing to pay handsomely for even a glass of water. Bavarian xenophobia at its best. A true disgrace for any German to have disturbing places like this! Ps The owner’s reply below says everything you need to know about this place.

Super delicious food, very cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and fast too! Absolute recommendation to end the evening!

Wonderfully located alpine pasture. Easy to reach from the hiking car park with small children. With playground and even play room. Just waiting for your meal ETERNALLY (there were probably around 10x there and it was always like this ...).

Delicious food at the foot of the mountains, very Bavarian, reasonably priced. Good place to end the day after a hike. Clear recommendation!

From Kreuth you walk about 40-45 minutes. cozy to the Schwaigeralm. The Alm has nice parlors, friendly service and good food. All clean. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are also welcome. Definitely worth a visit.

5 gold stars. All wonderful, fabulous transition and atmosphere in the restaurant tailored, warm, welcoming and beautiful. The services, the meals, the kindness of the people have left me a beautiful memory and the desire to return.

Amazing place tucked away up a hill. This incredibly warm and inviting hunting lodge served very good food and hsd great hospitality. The staff were brilliant and the lodge is rustic and very atmospheric. Would love to come here again if I am ever in the area.

Great inn, were there for the 2nd time with our children for this week. Super nice, attentive service, great, very fresh and tasty dishes. Highly recommended and beautifully located.

Loved this authentic place! It's a hidden gem, you have to find it, but when you do you won't regret it! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, despite being all German speaking they did assist us nicely and as much as they could. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, filled with laughter and the smell of wood. The food is scrumptious! Come with an appetite, the portions are huge, and I would suggest anything with deer meat. Yes, we ate bambi and enjoyed every bite of it! The cherry on top is a dessert they call "the emperor's rubbish", ask for it you won't regret it and while you're at it have someone explain the story it will make you giggle.
